We’re recruiting for this role due to an internal promotion, highlighting the career progression opportunities available within the procurement team. At Warburtons, we’re passionate about developing our people whether through structured training, mentoring, or hands-on experience.
The Recipe
In this fast-paced and varied role, you’ll take ownership of raw materials inventory across our bakery sites, external warehouse partner, and supplier locations ensuring a consistent supply within agreed stock levels and ordering parameters. You’ll play a vital role in supporting material change initiatives, from introducing new raw materials and updating existing ones to managing the delisting process for those no longer required.
Your insight will help drive supply chain improvements by working closely with our Procurement team to identify and implement enhancements to inbound logistics. You’ll also collaborate with bakery teams, offering training and guidance to help them maintain optimal stock levels while balancing cost efficiency and operational flexibility.
As a key point of contact between Warburtons and external suppliers, you’ll resolve delivery and inventory issues quickly and effectively. You’ll also contribute to the development of inbound systems and processes to improve supplier delivery performance.
Additionally, you’ll manage relationships with external providers responsible for raw materials storage and distribution, ensuring we have the most efficient and cost-effective solutions in place. Acting as the central liaison, you’ll ensure smooth communication and coordination across all touchpoints.
This opportunity is perfect for individuals at any stage of their procurement career—whether you’re just starting out and eager to build your expertise, or you bring proven experience and are looking to take the next step.
