We are an independent creative studio specialising in embroidery & decoration of unique, high-quality personalised products (apparel & accessories). Our brand prides itself on offering customised items that make memorable gifts and everyday essentials. We are looking for a Marketplace Designer & Curator to join our team and help bring our vision to life across popular online marketplaces such as Etsy, Not On The High Street and others.
Role Overview:
As a Marketplace Designer & Curator, you will combine your creative flair with strategic marketplace research to help our products stand out and thrive in the competitive world of e-commerce. You will be responsible for researching trends, designing personalised products, curating collections, and optimising listings to ensure maximum visibility and customer engagement. This is a dynamic role that requires both artistic design skills and a sharp eye for market opportunities. You will have the opportunity to create & bring new products to life, with the help of our makers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trend Research & Analysis
- Stay on top of current marketplace & online trends (styles, colours, themes) to ensure our products are always fresh and appealing.
- Gather customer feedback, track competitor products, and analyse market data to identify new opportunities for product development.
- Product Design & Decoration
- Design and curate personalised products.
- Create multiple design variations to cater to different tastes and customer segments.
- Help curate high-quality mockups and visuals that showcase the products effectively on the marketplace.
- Curating Collections
- Organise products into well-curated collections based on themes, seasons, or trends (e.g., “Christmas”, “Father's Day”).
- Optimising Listings for Marketplaces
- Write compelling and engaging product descriptions that resonate with our target audience and highlight each product’s unique features, which you curate and/or design.
- Optimise product listings with the right keywords, tags, and categories to maximise visibility in search results, to relevant audiences.
- Branding & Store Aesthetic
- Maintain a consistent and cohesive visual aesthetic across all product listings, ensuring they align with our brand identity.
- Use visual storytelling to craft an attractive and memorable shopping experience for customers, including banners, logos, and product images.
- Monitoring & Updating
- Track the performance of products and collections to determine what’s working and what needs adjustment.
- Update product offerings for seasonal changes, promotions, or special events to keep our store fresh and relevant.
- Collaboration with Marketing & Customer Feedback
- Work closely with our marketing team to create content for promotions, social media, and email campaigns.
- Collaborate with product development and customer service teams to incorporate feedback into new product designs or product tweaks.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency with design tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, or Procreate.
- Experience with online marketplaces like Etsy, NotOnTheHighStreet and Shopify.
- Basic understanding of SEO for e-commerce concepts (keywords, tags, product descriptions).
- A creative eye for design, with an understanding of current market trends and consumer preferences.
- Ability to create high-quality product mockups and visual content for listings.
- Excellent written communication skills to craft engaging product descriptions.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, while maintaining attention to detail and a passion for great design.
- Previous experience in e-commerce or product curation is a plus, but not required.

Pay: £27,500.00-£45,000.00 per year
