Maintenance Person – Care Home

We are a friendly, well-established care home that prides itself on delivering high-quality care in a warm and supportive environment. Our team works together to create the best possible setting for our residents — and we are now looking for a dedicated Maintenance Person to join us.
The Role
As our Maintenance Person, you will be responsible for the upkeep of the home and its grounds, ensuring all areas are safe, well-maintained, and welcoming. You will oversee health and safety, fire safety, and general maintenance checks, carrying out repairs and improvements as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing and electrics.
- Oversee and complete health & safety and fire safety checks in line with regulations.
- Turn rooms around within a 2–3 day period to a high standard.
- Support our sister homes when required (driving with your own vehicle is essential).
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation across the property.
About You:
- Previous experience in a similar maintenance role (care home experience is preferred).
- Good understanding of health & safety and fire safety regulations.
- Practical skills in basic plumbing and electrics.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work efficiently to deadlines.
- Hardworking, reliable, and committed to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
Hours:
- Full-time hours available
