Live-in Student Intern / Social Care Worker, L'Arche Highland
ABOUT THE ROLE
Hours of work: from 20 hours per week during term time, plus two sleepovers, worked flexibly, occasional evening and weekend commitments locally, some events require travel
Stipend: About £626 per month pro rata (£334 per month for 20 hours per week based on 37.5 FTE) as well as free Board and Lodging
Place of work: L'Arche Highland Community Houses, Inverness
Contract Type: Part time, permanent

This position does not offer sponsorship and is best suited for candidates already located in the Inverness area.
Main purpose of the role:
You will support people with learning disabilities living in a variety of settings, in line with agreed support and care plans, in all aspects of their everyday lives. You will deliver practical, physical and emotional support to people with learning disabilities, whilst proactively promoting choice, independence and self-determination.

Key essential criteria:
- A minimum of one year experience in care, or caring for a family member, or studying a health or social care subject;
- Be committed to the vision and values of L'Arche;
- Work collaboratively and supportively with your team mates to be the best possible support for people with learning disabilities;
- Be motivated to grow and develop personally, and to share in the life of the Community;
