We have a placement available for a lovely gentleman in Cambridge. This is a placement for a carer who drives and has access to a car.
The client has learning disabilities and can only say a few words so communication is limited. The car will be insured by the family and petrol money will be given. The carer is required to go out quite a bit with the client, here are some examples of what he likes to do: Swimming, feeding the ducks, crazy gold, farming, shopping etc.
You will also be going out quite a lot to eat, the meals out will be paid for by the family. You will not receive food allowance for this placement.
The family goes to Spain about 3 times a year and the carer is required to go with them, this will be paid for by the family. They go for 1-3 weeks at a time. Carers will not take breaks from Saturday-Sunday but will have a private carer from Monday-Friday 8am-4pm so the carer will have a lot of downtime.
There are no pets in the property! This placement has only been assessed recently and is to start in January 2026 - rates will be discussed privately and closer to date. We do not have a care plan as of yet.
