Job Title: Live-In Caregiver (Self Employed)
We are looking for a dedicated, responsible and caring person to take care of our elderly father, part-time, on a live-in basis. We can offer a separate bedroom with TV and WIFI together with a food allowance. The bungalow is situated in a large, beautiful, secluded garden on the edge of the New Forest in Totton. Totton town centre is a 15 minute walk away and Southampton city centre 30 minutes by bus or car.
We would prefer someone who lives within a 1 hour travel radius of Totton, Southampton.
Our father has moderate Alzheimer`s, though fortunately he remains with an adorable nature. Unfortunately, earlier this year, his situation deteriorated and he is now bed bound and needs support with feeding and pad changes.
Your Roles and Responsibilities
- Providing personal care duties
- Administering medication
- Household chores and basic maintenance like thorough cleaning, cleaning vacuum filters etc.
- Meal preparation
- Shopping
- Basic garden chores like watering and mowing the lawn
Care Arrangement
The care hours and arrangement can be discussed as you will be working with a colleague in a team. In addition you will have a minimum of 2 hrs per day of uninterrupted rest time on your "work days".
Benefits
Daily rate of between £130-£150, that are dependent on experience and range of skills.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a caregiver
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
Preference is given to candidates who are based in a commutable area to Southampton in less than 1 hour
