Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our dynamic legal team in our private client department. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting our solicitors and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. This position requires exceptional organisational skills, effective time management, and the ability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues alike.
Duties
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to legal professionals, including managing schedules and appointments.
- Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and forms using Microsoft Word.
- Conduct audio typing of legal dictations accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain an organised filing system for both electronic and paper documents, ensuring easy retrieval of information.
- Assist with client communications, responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with team members to facilitate effective workflow within the office environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a legal setting is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook) and general IT skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with audio typing.
