Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Supervisor to join our team in a friendly environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all laundry services are executed efficiently and to the highest standards of cleanliness. This role is vital in maintaining the overall guest experience by providing fresh and well-maintained linens and towels for holiday homes and holiday lets.
We would prefer someone who's worked in a laundry setting before so that they can bring something to the role.
Duties
- Operate washing machines and dryers, ensuring proper loading and unloading of laundry.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens, and towels.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, including regular cleaning of machines.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling chemicals and equipment.
- Respond promptly to requests from other staff members regarding laundry needs.
- To ensure that stock is maintained and any damages are reported.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundrette or similar environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods.
- A positive attitude and excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with team members.
