We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team. As a Kitchen Porter, you will support the culinary team by ensuring that the kitchen is well-organized and fully stocked.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas by following proper cleaning protocols.
- Bus tables and assist with serving during events or busy service periods.
- Support banquet operations by setting up and breaking down dining areas as needed.
- Handle food safely and adhere to all food handling regulations to ensure quality standards.
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
- Participate in inventory management by helping to stock supplies and report shortages.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations is advantageous.
- Experience in catering or banquet services is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
