The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen environment, ensuring that all food preparation areas are well-organised and hygienic.

Duties
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling vegetables.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Ensure that all dishes, pots, and pans are cleaned and sanitised promptly.
- Support chefs in cooking tasks as required, contributing to meal preparation.
- Help with the organisation of stock and supplies in the kitchen.
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with serving food during busy periods, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
- Participate in regular cleaning schedules to uphold high standards of hygiene.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
