Job Description

This is a full time, permanent position, working 09:00 – 17:00, Monday – Friday.
Provide support by providing technical chemical expertise to the laboratory in all areas.
- Perform sample preparation and conduct chemical analysis using a variety of techniques, apparatus, and instrumentation.
- Accurately enter data into the laboratory database, ensuring consistency and reliability.
- Maintain precise record-keeping in line with the UKAS quality system requirements.
- Record and manage sample details upon receipt at the laboratory.
- Ensure all records meet the requirements for UKAS/ISO 17025 accreditation.
- Assist with general laboratory housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Support the maintenance of records and documentation required for UKAS/ISO 17025 accreditation.
- Participate in any additional duties as required to support laboratory operations and compliance.
Qualifications
- Degree in Chemistry/ Environmental Chemistry or Closely related subject
- Great laboratory skills and practices as well as relevant methods/ techniques
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Full commitment to meeting customers expectation
- Full commitment to lean management
- Proven ability to develop team members
