Role: Claims IT Transformation Delivery Lead
Location: Hybrid between home and Sevenoaks/Liverpool Offices
Working hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5:30pm
Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of IT transformation projects within the claims space, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines
- Work closely with Claims IT, operations, developers, and senior stakeholders to drive collaboration and shared understanding across departments
- Conduct end-to-end assessments of existing systems and processes, identifying opportunities for modernisation and efficiency improvements
- Source, evaluate, and recommend IT systems and providers that meet the evolving needs of the claims function.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a bridge between technical teams and business units
- Provide regular progress reports and insights to the Head of Claims IT and senior leadership
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and advancements, particularly the role of AI and automation in shaping the future of insurance claims handling
- Contribute to the continual refinement of the roadmap for digital transformation in claims, bringing forward innovative solutions and best practices.
- Proven experience in IT project delivery, ideally within the insurance claims environment
- Strong understanding of claims operations, systems, and lifecycle
- Experience with vendor selection and management, including RFI/RFP processes.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact, influence and manage stakeholders at all levels, from developers to senior leadership.
- Strategic thinker with a future-focused mindset, particularly around AI, machine learning, and digital innovation in insurance.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Agile/Waterfall project management experience; certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2, Agile) are a plus.
- Familiarity with change management principles and digital transformation frameworks.
- Experience in large-scale transformation or claims modernisation programs.
- Knowledge of industry-leading claims platforms or insurtech solutions.
- Hands-on understanding of AI applications in insurance (e.g., fraud detection, triage automation, predictive analytics).
