Job Description
ESCO Maritime Solutions is seeking a highly driven and experienced Transformation Lead, Supplier Quality to join our Transformation Department. In this strategic role, you will lead initiatives to elevate supplier quality performance, drive operational excellence, and ensure that our global supplier network aligns with ESCO’s evolving standards. This position is instrumental in supporting our broader transformation goals and driving lasting, scalable improvements across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Supplier Quality Transformation: Design and execute a roadmap to elevate supplier quality standards and practices in alignment with ESCO Maritime Solutions’ transformation goals.
  • Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies and implement standardized, scalable improvements to enhance quality assurance across the supplier base.
  • Change Management: Act as a key change agent within the organization, fostering cross-functional engagement and supplier alignment with new quality expectations and practices.
  • Performance Metrics & Reporting: Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and analytical tools to monitor supplier performance and the effectiveness of quality transformation initiatives.
  • Supplier Risk Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to proactively identify supplier risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Digital Tools & Innovation: Champion the adoption of digital solutions to automate quality processes, improve transparency, and streamline supplier interactions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Procurement, Engineering, Operations, and Compliance teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of quality transformation projects.
  • Supplier Engagement & Development: Partner with critical and strategic suppliers to improve quality maturity, foster collaboration, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Capability Building: Support internal and external training efforts to build quality management competencies across the supply base.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in supplier quality, quality systems, or supply chain transformation, preferably in a manufacturing, defence, or industrial setting.
  • Demonstrated success in leading quality improvement or transformation initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of quality management systems, tools, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, CAPA, root cause analysis).
  • Strong data-driven decision-making and analytical skills.
  • Experience working remotely with globally distributed teams and suppliers.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Desired:
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt).
  • Experience with ERP and quality management systems (e.g., SAP, QMS platforms).
  • Familiarity with maritime or industrial supplier standards and regulations.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
