We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist to join our team based in Suffolk . This role involves supporting and maintaining the organization's technology infrastructure, with a focus on automation to enhance efficiency and streamline operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to integrating automation in IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Manage and maintain computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure, incorporating automation wherever possible.
- Develop and implement automated processes for routine IT tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload.
- Ensure the security and integrity of data, performing regular backups and recovery operations.
- Install, configure, and update software and hardware components, leveraging automation tools.
- Monitor system performance and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functioning.
- Collaborate with team members to support IT projects and implement new technologies, with an emphasis on automated solutions.
- Document technical procedures, configurations, and support issues accurately.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in IT support or a similar role, with exposure to automation technologies.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, software applications, and automation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
