Join us at Sovereign Network Group (SNG) as an Internal Communications Business Partner to shape and deliver internal communication strategies that help our employees connect, engage, and thrive.
Based from our offices in Basingstoke or Wembley, you'll combine office and home working in line with our hybrid approach. There will be some travel required with this role to other offices, or offsite locations, so you should have access to transport and be happy to travel.
We're ambitious at SNG, providing over 84,000 homes and investing in communities across the South, West and East of England, including London, as well as aiming to create thousands of new affordable homes every year.
The Role
Reporting into the Head of Internal Communications, Brand and Creative, you'll blend strategic planning, stakeholder management and hands-on delivery to ensure impactful and effective communications across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Business partnering with colleagues across SNG to develop and implement strategic internal communication plans that support business priorities and enhance employee engagement
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and key stakeholders, providing communications advice and crafting messaging that align with company objectives
- Leading the creation and execution of organisation-wide campaigns, ensuring clear, consistent and inspiring messaging
- Partnering with the People team, leadership teams and other departments, to support change management and culture-building initiatives
- Overseeing internal communication channels, including the intranet, newsletters, email updates and digital platforms, optimising reach and engagement and ensuring consistency with tone of voice and SNG values / brand
- Analysing communication impact and effectiveness through feedback, engagement metrics and employee insights, adjusting strategies as needed
- Working closely across the Communications and People teams to support the development and delivery of employee events, including roadshows, conferences and digital and in-person briefings and feedback sessions
What we're looking for
You should have demonstrable experience in a similar internal communications role, with corporate communications or employee engagement experience. You'll also need:
- Proven experience developing and executing internal communication strategies in a corporate environment
- Strong ability to influence and build productive and constructive relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing internal communication tools and platforms, such as intranet, email management systems and digital signage
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and adjust communication strategies accordingly
- A proactive and creative mindset, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, Viva Engage, Amplify and Poppulo is desirable
