Store Colleague - In Store Baker
Location: Polvillion Road, Fowey, PL23 1HJ
Pay: £12.40 per hour & benefits
Contract: part time 12 hrs, overtime & Customer Team Member shifts available

What you’ll do as an In-Store Baker
As a dedicated In-store baker (ISB), you'll have responsibility for this award winning popular range of products working in a brand new facility. You'll take sole charge for the baking and presentation of the days product and making sure all prep work is ready for the following shift. Shift patterns are always set for mornings (6am start) but finishing mid morning means that the rest of the day is your own.
You'll be one of our Co-op Customer Team Members (CTM) who are the public face of this exciting new store, taking responsibility for customer service, ensuring stock is replenished and looking its best. The ISB and CTM's work together to support some brilliant local projects by sharing profits within the community. It’s not just talk. It’s what we do.
The pace is always fast, with different duties to take on through your shift. Here are some of the key aspects:
· 06:00 to 10:00 shift.
· You'll be the first into the store (always with at least one other colleague).
· You'll review the bakery schedule and plan the baking to ensure product is available from store opening (07:00)
· You'll monitor sales to ensure a steady supply of product and that the presentation of the ISB range is up to our high standards
· thinking on your feet if there’s an issue or problem to solve
· promoting Co-op membership, and the local projects we support

Please note, you have to be aged 18 to take on this role, as it involves starting at 6am.
Working pattern: up to 3-5 varied shifts over 7 days consisting of early mornings (store opening) and weekends, to be discussed at interview. Where possible we shall look to accommodate successful candidates with their preferred option of hours and shifts, although this cannot be guaranteed.
Note also that for bakery roles the shifts are set for mornings only (from 06:00 to mid/late morning).
