Carefuge Housing provide supported housing options and deliver a holistic housing service to help vulnerable adults to sustain their tenancy, develop their skills and prevent homelessness.
Support Workers will be required to carry out risk assessments and create support plans for each tenant in their case load. Support Workers will carry out weekly support sessions with the tenants to ensure they are able to manage their tenancy effectively. The support sessions involve, but is not limited to:
- Visiting and meeting tenants in their accommodation (all accommodation is across the Birmingham area);
- To assist and enable tenants to gain or maintain their accommodation and to support them into independent living;
- Creating support plans in respect of each tenant through careful observation, assessment and writing up of daily reports with input from other relevant multi-agencies and/or the senior manager accordingly;
- To monitor the tenant's progress and review support provided;
- Assist tenant's to have an improved quality of life and empower them to make choices;
- Support tenant's to register with local health services and have the opportunity to have their health needs addressed
- Support tenant's to access opportunities for educational development and/or to improve their literacy or numeracy;
- Support tenant's to access opportunities for development through activities such as training, volunteering or employment;
- Ensure that tenant's have, where possible, a well organised and supported transition towards independent living when leaving the service.
The role can be challenging and demanding at times working with vulnerable adults, but at the same time very rewarding.

Support workers are required to have a valid driving licence and access to their own vehicle.
NVQ level 2 in health and social care is desired however full training will be provided to the right candidate.
