About YMCA St Paul’s Group:
YMCA St Paul's Group is a charity that aims to support and empower young people and communities throughout London by providing life-changing youth work, essential community services, inclusive health and wellbeing centres, and supported accommodation for those who are at risk of homelessness. The organisation aims to create thriving places for young people and flourishing communities. With a commitment to long-term transformation in mind, body, and spirit, YMCA St Paul's Group has served the community for over 150 years.
About this Role
As a Housing and Support Coordinator (Nights), you’ll play a vital role at the heart of our housing service, supporting some of the most vulnerable young people in our community. This is a dynamic, front-line leadership role based at YMCA St Margaret’s, where no two nights are the same. You’ll lead and support a team of Housing and Support Assistants to deliver a safe, welcoming, and high-quality environment for our residents overnight.
From carrying out wellbeing checks and handling emergencies, to supporting new residents and managing facilities, you’ll ensure that our service is both compassionate and efficient. You will also be the primary point of contact during night hours, responding to a variety of needs, managing safeguarding concerns, and liaising with emergency services when necessary. Your leadership will ensure the building is secure, the support is consistent, and residents feel respected, heard, and valued.
This role is ideal for someone with strong people skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a genuine passion for helping others. If you're ready to make a meaningful impact during the hours when it matters most, we’d love to hear from you.
