We have an exciting role available to join the team at No Second Night Out (NSNO), where you can develop valuable skills and experience while playing a key role in providing support to St Mungo’s clients. The NSNO Staging Post project offers additional assessment and reconnection support to clients over a 42-day period, ensuring those at risk of rough sleeping can be directed to services suitable to their immediate, medium and longer term needs.
About the role
In the role of Housing Management Assistant, you will be the first point of contact at reception for St Mungo’s clients and visitors and have the opportunity to create a welcoming and supportive environment within the project. Other responsibilities will include:
- Work alongside the team to provide a person-centred support to residents and clients.
- To provide excellent customer service at first contact and reception, including handling phone calls, post, and all reception enquiries.
- To support with collecting and recording weekly service charges, maintaining resident rent records and ensure that arrears are managed in line with the project’s policy.
- To report any maintenance issues and follow up promptly; clearing and preparing void rooms.
- Coordinating important Health and Safety checks and other administrative duties.
- In this role your typical working hours will be Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

- Excellent communication skills, and some experience of dealing directly with the public and/or clients or customers in a busy service environment.
- Personal experience of homelessness and/or an understanding of; and empathy for the issues faced by people experiencing homelessness.
- A genuine interest in helping vulnerable people to make positive changes in their life, and the willingness to develop these valuable skills.
- Good organisational skills, with basic IT and admin skills.
