Job Summary:
Pentire Hotel is looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Staff member to assist with the day-to-day maintenance and repair of our hotel facilities. This role is essential to ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our guests and team. The ideal candidate is practical, service-oriented, and able to carry out a wide range of basic maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
Work Schedule:
- Flexible working hours: minimum 2 days to a maximum of 5 days per week, based on operational needs and your availability.
- Availability to work some weekends, evenings, or holidays is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general maintenance tasks in guest rooms, public areas, and service spaces (e.g., minor plumbing, electrical work, basic carpentry, painting).
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
- Perform routine inspections and report any issues or hazards.
- Assist with preventative maintenance under the direction of the Maintenance Manager or Supervisor.
- Keep maintenance tools and areas organized and clean.
- Monitor stock of supplies and inform supervisor when reordering is needed.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with hotel policies.
- Support other departments with maintenance-related needs as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a general maintenance role is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or under supervision.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physically fit to perform manual tasks, including lifting and climbing ladders.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts based on hotel demands.
