Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Hotel Maintenance to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a broad background in general maintenance and repair, ensuring that all hotel facilities, equipment, and guest areas are well-maintained and safe. This role requires a proactive and hands-on individual who can troubleshoot issues quickly, work efficiently across multiple tasks, and support the smooth day-to-day operations of the hotel.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks across hotel facilities, including plumbing, electrical systems, heating, cooling, and general building upkeep.
- Inspect and maintain guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure they remain in excellent condition.
- Perform minor carpentry, painting, plastering, and repair works as required.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and maintenance concerns, delivering a high standard of customer service.
- Conduct regular safety checks and preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and costly repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, equipment servicing, and materials used.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Assist in managing contractors and service providers when external support is required.
Experience & Skills
- Previous experience in a general maintenance role, ideally within the hospitality or property sector.
- Good understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Practical skills in basic carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritise tasks.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- A commitment to safety, quality, and excellent guest service.
- Previous supervisory or team coordination experience is an advantage but not essential.
