We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team. This role is pivotal in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring their stay is enjoyable and memorable. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of hospitality, and the ability to handle various guest inquiries efficiently. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued, as they enhance our service to a diverse clientele.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and check them in efficiently.
- Handle guest inquiries and provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and amenities.
- Manage phone calls with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of transactions.
- Assist with room assignments and ensure all guest requests are fulfilled promptly.
- Address any guest complaints or issues with empathy and professionalism, striving for resolution.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready for new arrivals.
- Maintain the front desk area in an organised manner, ensuring it is presentable at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills are essential.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous for effective guest interaction.
- A friendly disposition with a passion for providing exceptional guest services.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Proficiency in using hotel management software is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
