At Animals at Home Mendip & Bristol, we’re looking for responsible, caring people who want to offer a calm, home-from-home experience for dogs while their owners are away. This is not a full-time job—it’s a fulfilling opportunity for dog lovers who have the time, space, and heart to care for pets on an occasional basis.

Please note: This is not suitable for homes with young children or resident pets that do not get along with other dogs.

What You’ll Do:

• Welcome a dog into your home and make them feel safe and loved
• Follow the pet’s usual routine for feeding, walking, and rest
• Provide regular updates and photos to their owner
• Ensure a secure, clean, dog-friendly environment
• Be present and engaged during the dog’s stay—this role isn’t for those who are out all day

Requirements:

• Genuine experience with dogs (personal or professional)
• A dog-friendly home and a secure outdoor space
• You must be home-based and able to supervise the dog throughout the day
• Your own home, or permission from your landlord to board dogs
• No young children in the home, and no pets that are uncomfortable with canine visitors
