We are looking for a motivated and hardworking dog lover to join our team as a Dog Grooming Assistant/Dog Prep Technician! This is a fantastic opportunity to embark on an exciting new career and develop your skills.
You will be trained how to prep dogs to the highest standard for our groomers – this includes bathing, drying, brushing, combing, de-matting, trimming nails and cleaning ears as well as additional grooming treatments such as teeth cleaning and blueberry facials.
Experience working in grooming salon would be a plus but at least a year of previous experience of working with animals or in a similar environment is essential (please note this does not include looking after your own pets).
You will be required to:
- Have a positive approach to handling dogs and an interest in learning about dog behaviour and how you can apply this knowledge to dog grooming.
- Deliver high standards of customer service
- Maintain salon cleanliness and grooming equipment
- Adhere to standard animal welfare guidelines at all times
- Work well under pressure – we operate a busy salon and often have multiple dogs in a short space of time
- The drive and determination to work well as part of a busy team and under your own initiative.
This role is 5 days a week and you will be required to work some weekends and bank holidays.
Salary: £25,000/annum depending on skill and experience.
