People's Postcode Lottery are looking to expand their Digital Team by recruiting an ECU Engineer Apprentice! This apprentice will work towards an SCQF Level 6 Qualification based in their Edinburgh office.

Responsibilities:

  • Use our internal ticketing system Jira service management to manage and resolve end user issues and requests, delivering technical support to colleagues across the business and wider Group.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for EUC-related queries, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
  • Support the onboarding process for new starters, setting them up with the tools and access they need.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to maintain smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Procure, configure, and deploy hardware to end users, ensuring equipment is fit for purpose and delivered efficiently.
  • Help maintain compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards across all EUC activities.

What do they need from you?

  • You’ve got a good understanding of IT hardware and know your way around basic troubleshooting.
  • You’re comfortable using both Apple and Microsoft operating systems and software.
  • You’re passionate about technology and love keeping up with the latest trends.
  • You enjoy learning new things and have a natural talent for solving problems.
  • You’re a great communicator and enjoy working with others to get things done.
  • You’re self-motivated, proactive, and bring a positive, team-focused attitude to everything you do
  • 3 National 5's at A-C.
  • National 5 Maths and English at A-D.

Salary: £24,570 per annum.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5:30pm.

Future prospects:

Upon completion of programme there is an opportunity of progression onto It Support Professional SCQF level 8 depending on your skillset.

They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
