We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Helpdesk Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our users, ensuring that all issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support for hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolution of user queries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop support issues, including operating system problems and software applications.
- Utilise tools such as Remedy and ServiceNow for ticket management and incident tracking.
- Assist users with computer networking issues, including TCP/IP configurations.
- Analyse system performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support requests and resolutions.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to escalate complex issues as necessary.
- Conduct routine maintenance on Windows Server environments to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a helpdesk or technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques and desktop support practices.
- Familiarity with Remedy and ServiceNow platforms is advantageous.
- Understanding of computer networking principles, particularly TCP/IP protocols.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
