Role
The Head of Business Systems and Service Enhancement is responsible for leading the development, implementation and optimisation of business systems across the Student and Academic Services (SAS) Directorate and wider university. The postholder ensures that systems and processes are efficient, user-focused, and aligned with institutional Vision 2030 goals. They work closely with stakeholders across academic and professional services teams to drive service improvement, enhance digital capabilities, and support strategic transformation initiatives.
Person
You will be an experienced professional with significant expertise in business systems management, exercising a high degree of independent responsibility in decision-making and strategic oversight. You will hold a relevant professional and/or academic qualification, complemented by extensive specialist experience in business systems and service enhancement.
With strong planning and organisational abilities, you will ensure initiatives align with established procedures and university policy while providing expert guidance to Schools and other Professional Services units. Your contribution to long-term strategic planning will ensure business systems development supports the broader university Vision2030 strategy and institutional objectives.
You will offer advisory leadership to senior university management, influencing policy direction and service priorities while developing innovative procedures that align with institutional values. In addition, you will demonstrate effective team leadership, overseeing service delivery, monitoring progress, and taking proactive steps to achieve operational goals and objectives.
