Is this role for you?
We’re looking for a member that is responsible, energetic, innovative, a team player, that will boost the salon and the other hairdressers on social media. A supportive and collaborative member that will create warm and inviting salon space where clients and the other stylists the feel comfortable and at home with.
Responsibilities:
- Ability or willing to learn how to wash and blowdry different ranges of hair such as Afro, Caucasian and Asian hair.
- Provide excellent customer service to salon clients
- Upsell salon products and services to clients
- Sell and install hair extensions for interested clients
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences
- Assist with salon management tasks, ensuring tidiness of beauty stations
- Building regulars and impressing your clients.
- Advising clients on aftercare and products.
- Keeping up to date with the latest trends.
- Hitting your targets by optimising turnover for treatments, retail sales, colour and rebooking %.
- Learning new techniques and styles.
- Take high-quality videos/photographs of completed hairstyles for portfolio and social media purposes.
Skills:
Must be able to work with and care for Afro-Caribbean, Asian and European hair types
Training is available to learn natural hair styling and services but you must be able to braid to be accepted for this role.
Services we would like you to offer:
- Braid hair such as knotless, box braids (required)
- Cornrow Hair
- Sew ins
- Balayages, dyeing hair & highlights (not required but preferred)
- Blowdry & silk press afro-carribean hair
Other skills can include:
- Trimming
- Applying colour with confidence
- Providing hair treatments

Pay:
- From £15-£100 per hour, this varies depending on service, the more you put in, the more you get out!
This role is commission based, but we also have rental chairs available if you would like to do your own clients on a self employed basis.

Experience:
Minimum 1+ years of hairdressing, professional or non-professional.
Minimum 1+ years of styling, professional or non-professional.

* Level 2/3 Hairdressing qualification preferred but not required
