Mount Cook Adventure Centre is a not-for-profit organisation passionate about making the outdoors accessible to all—especially young people and those with limited opportunities. We’re seeking enthusiastic, adaptable individuals ready for a hands-on role in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
About the Role:
As a Guest Services Coordinator, you’ll be the welcoming face of Mount Cook, ensuring a high-quality experience for all visitors. You’ll work closely with catering and housekeeping teams, supporting a wide range of tasks from front-of-house duties to meal service and overnight security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist guests; handle enquiries in person and by phone
- Manage guest check-ins, shop sales, cash handling and stock takes
- Administrative duties
- Maintain cleanliness in communal areas and dining spaces
- Set up meeting rooms and replenish food service items
- Assisting with meal service
- Support first aid and emergency response
- Perform overnight security checks (£35 per shift)
What We’re Looking For:
- Friendly, confident communicator with a passion for customer care
- High attention to detail and personal presentation
- Calm under pressure and able to multitask
- Willingness to gain Food Hygiene and First Aid certification
- Comfortable using Windows-based software
