Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in various construction projects, ensuring that groundwork is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Duties
- Carry out excavation and ground preparation tasks for construction projects.
- Operate hand tools and machinery safely and effectively.
- Assist in the installation of drainage systems, foundations, and other groundwork elements.
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure project timelines are met.
- Report any issues or concerns to the site supervisor promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in groundworks or construction is advantageous but not essential.
- Familiarity with operating machinery such as diggers or dumpers is beneficial.
- A valid CSCS card is preferred but can be obtained upon employment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are essential.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and techniques in the field of groundworks is highly valued.
