We are seeking a Ground Maintenance Operative to carry out essential vegetation and grounds work to support telecoms infrastructure across the midlands and surrounding areas. You will be working outdoors, travelling to a variety of telecoms sites, playing a key role in maintaining safe, accessible environments for telecoms engineers and equipment.
What you need:
•Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or similar experience roles
•Strong self-management and time keeping skills
•Comfortable using tablets and technology to access and record work details
•Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable qualifications, training can be provided for the right person:
•Strimmer / Brush Cutter Certification
•PA1 and PA6 Pesticide Spraying Certification
•Hedge Cutter Certification
•First Aid Certification
What you’ll do: As Ground Maintenance Operative, you’ll be at the heart of our Telecoms contracts and a proactive part of the team. Your responsibilities will include:
•General grounds maintenance including strimming, hedge cutting and vegetation clearance
•Herbicide application
•Use of tablet to complete and submit daily work records
•Identify reactive works required and submit these using a tablet
•Driving to sites within a 60 mile radius of our Derbyshire depot
•Working safely, proactively and often independently
•Occasional weekend and overtime work as required
