We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our company as a General Labourer. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting handymen, performing general labour tasks, and maintaining a clean and organised work site.
The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn and contribute to the success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist handymen and other tradespeople with various tasks, such as carrying materials, setting up equipment, and handling tools.
- Perform general labour duties, including digging trenches, running cables, and installing conduit under the supervision of experienced professionals.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the work site by sweeping, removing debris, and organizing materials.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials, ensuring they are properly stored and secured.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and actively participate in team meetings and briefings.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Report any safety concerns, accidents, or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
- Learn and develop new skills related to electrical work and construction through on-the-job training and guidance.
- Show a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as neede
Ideal candidate:
- Previous experience in a construction or electrical environment is preferred but not required.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus.
