Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Gateman/Bankman to join our team at McCrory Brickwork Ltd in the construction sector. This role is crucial for maintaining site security and facilitating smooth operations, contributing significantly to our mission of delivering high-quality masonry services.
Responsibilities
- Open up site gates around 07.00am
- Booking in vehicles and overseeing safe offloading
- Greeting visitors as the enter the site
- General tidying up, moving materials
- Working with forklift driver to move materials around site
- Not allowing vehicles to leave site unless they are clean, wheels washed
- Ensuring site doesn’t become congested
- Accepting small deliveries, looking after site storage cabin
- Generally being the site managers right hand man when it comes to looking after the logistics of the project
- Working day will end between 16:30 - 17:00 depending on what tasks are being carried out. Typically we see around 46 hours a week being paid, more if worked.
- As and when possible earlier finishes will be permitted depending on what trades are working onsite
- Self employed Basis £16.50hr
- We will provide all PPE and any minor training courses to help upskill
- Qualifications
- Fluent English speaking is critical
Lives local to project is much preferred to aid reliability
References from similar roles are needed. Reliability is extremely critical, we cannot accept turning up to work late.
Free parking onsite if required
The project starts 22nd September and runs for 14 months. The right person can stay for this duration possibly more if works continue.
