Job Summary: We are looking for a dependable and multi-skilled individual to maintain our gardens, manage general property upkeep, and support logistical tasks. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities including horticulture, pond care, handyman repairs, and assistance with deliveries and storage organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Gardening & Landscaping
Maintain lawns, flower beds, hedges, trees, and shrubs.
Plant, prune, weed, mulch, and fertilize as needed.
Operate and maintain gardening tools and machinery (e.g., mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers).
Monitor plant health and apply pest control measures when necessary.
Plan and implement seasonal garden changes.
Pond Maintenance
Regular cleaning and upkeep of ponds and water features.
Monitor water quality and clarity; apply treatments as needed.
Maintain pumps, filters, and pond equipment.
Ensure pond safety and aesthetic appeal.
General House Maintenance
Perform routine inspections and repairs of property fixtures and fittings.
Handle basic plumbing tasks (e.g., fixing leaks, unclogging drains).
Carry out minor electrical repairs (e.g., replacing light fixtures, resetting breakers).
Paint and touch-up interior and exterior surfaces.
Assemble furniture and install fixtures as needed.
Logistics & Storage
Assist with receiving and moving large deliveries.
Safely transport and position heavy items.
Organise and maintain storage areas for tools, supplies, and equipment.
Keep inventory of maintenance materials and notify when restocking is needed.
Property Upkeep
Maintain outdoor structures (e.g., fences, gates, patios).
Clear gutters, pressure wash surfaces, and maintain driveways.
Ensure safety standards are met across the property.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience in gardening, pond care, and general maintenance.
Strong knowledge of plants, landscaping techniques, and seasonal care.
Basic proficiency in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
Ability to operate power tools and maintenance equipment safely.
Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
Willing to complete a DBS check
Preferred Certifications (Not Required):
Horticulture or landscaping certification.
Basic electrical or plumbing certification.
Health & Safety training.
Working Hours:Weekdays 8am to 4.30pm 8 hour days
