We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Isabella’s restaurant in Porthcawl. Whilst we are currently looking for someone on a part time basis we will consider applications from those looking for a fully time role. The post will include daytime, evening and weekend working.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, with excellent leadership skills to work with the new owners to effectively manage and motivate our front of house staff. This role is crucial in ensuring exceptional service delivery and fostering a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all our customers.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the front of house, ensuring smooth service flow and customer satisfaction.
- Supervise and train front of house staff, including waiting and bar staff to deliver outstanding service.
- Manage stock levels and place orders with suppliers as required.
- Collaborate with the chefs to ensure timely service and quality standards are met, as well as supporting them in planning menus.
- Ensure a high level service to customers, dealing with issues professionally to enhance customer experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, ensuring it meets quality standards.
- Implement training for new staff on hospitality best practice and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role preferably within the hospitality sector, or otherwise a role with transferable skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for hospitality with a commitment to delivering a high-quality experience for customers.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
