The Howard Arms in Ilmington are currently looking to recruit a full Front of House Team for a fantastic independent Cotswold pub with rooms.
The Front of House Team will play a essential part in the re-opening of the venue following the national lockdowns. Previous Waiting and/or Bar Experience is desirable but not essential.
We are not only committed to providing the best produce, but the very best customer experience. With this in mind, our staff will be key to our success.
We are looking for Bar/Waiting staff who are passionate about the industry, people who want to go above and beyond at all times and people who want to be part of a relatively small, close knit team.
The business consists of a large outdoor eating space, 50 seater restaurant and separate bar. Amazing seasonal and locally sourced produce is key to the menu.
Job responsibilities:
- Assist in the day-to-day running of Restaurant and Bar operation; waiting on tables, bark work, preparing mise-en-place
- Deliver a warm, friendly but professional guest experience
- Understand the products that you are serving and share the story of seasonality and provenance with your guests
- Working as a part of small team in an exciting fast paced environment
- Upsell products to maximise sales
- Maintain a clean and tidy workplace
Who we are looking for:
- Confident, outgoing, and friendly
- Able to work in a busy, fast paced environment
- Some experience of restaurant/bar work is advantageous
- Experience working within a busy customer service environment
- Happy to work across evenings and weekends
- Fantastic progression and training opportunities exist for the right candidates
Working as a Front of House team member in this fabulous inn you will receive a competitive salary plus gratuities. The operation is open 7 days per week so your hours will be 5 days from 7 on a shift basis. You will be working for a progressive people ownership team, situated in a beautiful part of the world, delivering a fabulous product.
