Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting guests as they arrive at the restaurant and escorting them to their table
- Presenting menus to guests and taking orders for food and drinks
- Making recommendations to guests regarding food and beverage selections
- Serving food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner
- Checking on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any issues
- Processing payment for meals and handling cash and credit card transactions
- Assisting with the setup and clean-up of the restaurant before and after service
- Cleaning and resetting tables for the next guests
- Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure that food and beverages are delivered accurately and on time
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail, highly organised and capable of handling multiple tasks
- A proactive self-starter who can work independently with good judgement and minimal direction
