Job Overview:
- We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Front of House Security Officer to join our team.
- As a FOH officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding our client's premises, assets, and personnel.
- You will play a key role maintaining a secure environment and deterring potential threats.
- Working 48 hours per week with 4 days rotating weekly.
- Working Mon - Fri with long weekends available.
- Overtime opportunities available.
Main Duties:
- Conduct regular building patrols both external and internal of the premises to ensure security.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents.
- Maintain a visible and professional presence.
- Enforce site Policies and Procedures, Assignment Instructions and KOD`s.
- Write detailed incident reports.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies where necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors.
- Assist with emergency response and evacuation procedures.
Training:
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
- To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the FOH manager.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.
- You are required to ensure you renew your license 16 weeks before expiry.
Protection and Health & Safety:
- Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.
- Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss, or damage.
- Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.
- To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
- Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.
- Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
- To ensure check calls are being carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).
- To call emergency services and Regional Operations Centre to report all incidents.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience as a Security Officer in related roles.
- Proven experience in Emergency response role.
- Valid Security Licence (DS).
- Valid First Aid Certificate (EFAW or FAW).
- Strong Observational Skills and Security Situational Awareness.
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- Physically fit and capable of standing and walking for extend periods.
- Basic Computer Skills.
- DBS Check.
