Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Host/Host to join our team at Harington's City Hotel in Bath. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and exceptional service that aligns with our mission of providing outstanding hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage their accommodation arrangements.
- Managing reservations and queries online, by email, on the phone and in person with a can-do attitude
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials.
- Assist with reservations and maintain an organised waiting list.
- Being empowered to use your initiative when dealing with guest complaints or operational challenges
- Being an active member of the team in meetings and development sessions
- Supporting the management team in ensuring our rooms and apartments stay looking fresh
- Ensure the dining area is clean, well-presented, and inviting.
- Communicate effectively with morning kitchen staff to coordinate guest needs.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Uphold the hotel's standards of service at all times.
- Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is essential.
- Strong hospitality skills with a passion for customer service.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with guest services practices is preferred.
- A friendly demeanor with a professional appearance is required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
