Full-Time Forest School Position!
Are you passionate about outdoor learning and inspiring young minds? We’re looking for somebody to lead our Forest School helping to develop and deliver an exciting outdoor curriculum across different ages. We believe exposure to nature fosters a sense of responsibility towards the environment, promoting conservation values. Therefore, our YMCA embraces nature and provides a rich, dynamic learning environment that contributes to every child’s holistic development. Even our youngest children, as young as 1 years old, up to our Post 16’s, benefit from our outdoor curriculum. You will be supported by the appropriate staff for the age group attending the session.
About the Role:
- Full-time position in a supportive and friendly setting
- Assist in planning and leading engaging, nature-based activities
- Help children and young people explore, learn, and develop confidence in an outdoor environment
- Support the creation of a rich, hands-on curriculum that fosters a love for nature
About You:
- Level 3 Forest School qualification-essential
- Enthusiastic about outdoor education and child development
- Experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting
- Experience of working with young people in a relational way
- A team player with a nurturing and patient approach
