Job Role: Food Service Assistant
Location: High School of Dundee, Euclid Crescent, Dundee, DD1 1HU
Hours: 22.5 hours per week (Term Time – 38 working weeks + 5.6 weeks paid holiday)
Hourly Rate: £12.21 (equated and paid across 52 weeks)
Aramark UK is currently recruiting a Food Service Assistant to join our team at the High School of Dundee. In this role, you'll be involved in basic food preparation, including sandwiches and grab-and-go items, as well as front-of-house duties such as serving food and drinks, operating the tills, and delivering excellent customer service to pupils and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve food and beverages, including sandwiches, cold food, buffet items, and fresh pizzas made on-site daily
- Provide excellent customer service at front-of-house, including table clearing and service
- Operate tills and handle payments accurately
- Restock items and manage stock rotation
- Maintain cleanliness across front and back of house, including sweeping, mopping, and general housekeeping
- Follow food hygiene and health & safety procedures
- Support team flexibility – all staff are trained to be multi-skilled with ongoing training provided
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 6 months' experience in catering, food service, or food preparation
- Ability to pass a full PVG check (a requirement for employment in this role)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt
