We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Food Preparation Worker to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of food items, ensuring that all ingredients are ready for cooking and serving. You will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, contributing to a smooth and efficient food service operation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and chop vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients as required for various dishes.
- Ensure all food items are stored properly and labelled correctly to maintain freshness and safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including washing utensils, pots, and pans.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in inventory management by reporting low stock levels of ingredients or supplies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is essential, evenings only.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- A positive attitude towards learning new skills and techniques in food preparation.
