We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Florist to join our new boutique florist shop in h]the heart of Honley village. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, preparing, and selling floral arrangements for a variety of occasions, including weddings, funerals, corporate events, and day-to-day orders. You will be working closely with customers to ensure their floral needs are met with professionalism and flair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and assemble floral arrangements, bouquets, and displays tailored to customer specifications.
- Advise customers on flower selection, care, and arrangement options.
- Maintain high standards of presentation and cleanliness in the shop.
- Manage stock and ensure fresh flowers are stored correctly and rotated regularly.
- Take and process telephone, in-person, and online orders accurately.
- Prepare floral arrangements for delivery and ensure timely dispatch.
- Decorate venues for special occasions, including on-site installations.
- Keep up to date with seasonal flower trends and customer preferences.
- Perform basic administrative tasks, such as handling payments and updating order records.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a florist or relevant vocational training .
- A strong eye for design, colour, and detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders, especially during peak seasons.
- A flexible and team-oriented attitude.
- Knowledge of plant and flower care.
Desirable:
- A portfolio of previous floral work.
. Knowledge of floristry software or POS systems.
Working Hours:
Typically includes weekends and may require early morning starts or occasional late evenings, especially around holidays (e.g. Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas).
