Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and passionate Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a flair for design and an appreciation for the beauty of flowers and plants. As a Florist, you will be responsible for creating stunning floral arrangements, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the overall aesthetic of our shop. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Design and create floral arrangements for various occasions, including weddings, funerals, and special events.
- Assist customers in selecting flowers and arrangements that meet their needs and preferences.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the shop, ensuring all displays are visually appealing.
- Manage inventory by ordering flowers and supplies as needed, while keeping track of stock levels.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Sell additional products such as vases, cards, and gifts to enhance customer experience.
- Stay updated on current floral trends and techniques to offer innovative designs.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus for serving a diverse clientele.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for gardening and knowledge of various flower types, their care, and seasonal availability.
- Ability to sell products effectively while providing personalised recommendations to customers.
- Creativity and an eye for design to produce unique floral arrangements that delight clients.
- Experience in a retail environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
