Florist required for a very busy florist. Hours and days may vary and flexibility is a must (will include Saturday working).
Applicants must be a competent florist and will be required to produce a high standard of work without supervision.
Must either be a qualified florist or else have suitable experience to allow quick and efficient production during peak times.
PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU HAVE NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AS A FLORIST - this is not a training-post and the potential employee must be able to work without assistance. You will be working as a key member of staff.
Brief description of duties as follows:
Production of bouquets & arrangements for the shop & to order, incorporating customer requirements where appropriate.
Management & production of all incoming orders – prioritising where necessary.
Accurate application of pricing to products produced.
Helping with production of wedding/ event flowers & occasionally with set up.
To demonstrate product knowledge and care advice for customers as required.
Taking orders from customers in person and over the phone and processing payment; discuss with customer regarding price & exact requirements, up-selling where possible.
Unpacking & Conditioning of new flower deliveries to the shop.
Maintenance of stock & cleaning of necessary items.
Selling of other items in shop and processing payment.
Perform general cleaning duties in the shop to ensure the workplace is clean and tidy as possible.
Occasionally driving the delivery van for customer deliveries if required.
Any other reasonable duties.
