The role
We’re hiring a Fleet Operations Planning & Delivery Associate to be the force multiplier for the Fleet Ops leadership team. This role exists to drive clarity, execution, and coordination across one of the most complex, fast-moving parts of the business. It’s a generalist leadership role in disguise — focused on the work no one else has time to own, but that makes everything run better.
You’ll work directly with the Director of Fleet Ops, regional and functional leads, and key partners across Product, Engineering, and People to align plans, unblock delivery, and bring operational strategy to life. From re-orgs to hiring plans to comms rhythms — if it needs structure, accountability, and a clear owner, it will likely land with you.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive critical projects and operational improvements - from leadership cadences and headcount plans to onboarding flow, drumbeat, and KPI alignment.
- Own operational staffing models - define roles, track hiring status, support headcount forecasting, and ensure onboarding is well scoped and executed.
- Be the central point for org planning and re-org delivery - helping structure, communicate, and land changes that support scale.
- Design and run the Fleet Ops leadership cadence - leadership meetings, weekly team rhythm, team offsites, and reporting cycles.
- Maintain and report against key operational KPIs - working with Systems & Insights, Data, and regional teams to keep progress visible and actionable
- Partner with the Director of Fleet Ops on priorities, trade-offs, escalation management, and planning.
- Lead and support comms - making sure the right information reaches the right people at the right time, from team-wide updates to LT readouts.
- Operate as a high-trust, low-ego generalist - flexing between strategic planning and tactical execution depending on the need.
About You
You thrive on structure, communication, and being useful in moments that matter. You get things done, you don’t need your name on them, and you care deeply about building teams that work.
Essential
- Experience in project or program management, ideally in high-growth, high-complexity environments.
- Strong operational instinct - you know how to translate vague goals into concrete plans, actions, and status.
- Great communicator - crisp, calm, and clear across Slack, decks, meetings, and docs.
- Confident working across all levels of the org, from tactical coordinators to LT.
- Skilled at managing priorities, trade-offs, and team health in delivery.
- Able to juggle multiple projects while keeping high standards.
- Trustworthy, action-biased, and low-ego - a “just get it done” mindset.
Desirable
- Experience in operations, autonomy, or technical delivery environments.
- Familiarity with tools like Notion, Slack workflows, or Jira.
- Comfort handling light data tasks (e.g. tracking headcount or metrics in Sheets or Looker).
- Exposure to re-org or team design work - ideally in a matrixed or scaling org.
