We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service while assisting with food preparation and maintaining a clean and organised environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, strong time management skills, and the ability to upsell products effectively.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation, ensuring that all items are prepared according to food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their needs.
- Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance customer experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and shop area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation during busy periods.
- Help manage inventory levels by restocking supplies as necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong culinary skills with a keen interest in food preparation.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
- A friendly disposition with the ability to upsell products effectively.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
