About the job.

We are recruiting for a Financial Accounting Manager to join the team, based in Birmingham! You will be responsible for the management of the Financial Accounting Team. 

This role takes a lead in the delivery of the statutory financial statements and the annual audit process in consultation with the Department for Transport and National Audit Office. You will be responsible producing a robust set of financial statements, developing and maintaining appropriate financial accounting policies and ensuring that our processes are fit for purpose.

We ensure the company operates efficiently, delivers projects on time and within budget, and meets the needs of stakeholders. By offering expert advice, managing resources, and driving operational excellence, we support National Highways in achieving its mission of maintaining and improving the road network across the country.

External candidates will be offered a starting salary at the lower end of the pay scale, while current employees will be appointed in accordance with our established pay policy.
