Your New Role:
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance this role is creating a supportive and insightful relationships with the SP management team (based Silverstone) that drives business performance, facilitating the link between financial performance and operational performance, enhancing visibility of the financial strategy and ensuring business decisions are influenced by and aligned with the financial strategy.
The purpose of the role is to be the lead Finance Business Partner for the fast growing Service Provider (SP) business unit. Turning complex data into meaningful analysis, identifying trends, explaining variances, and recommending solutions.
This will include, production of month end results including commentary, Forecast modelling, financial Risk and opportunity tracking working with the senior team in SP to understand commercial drivers behind the numbers, ad hoc modelling for commercial bids and owning production of the annual budget and forecasts.
This is a great role for a qualified accountant looking to build their commercial exposure and interaction in the rapidly growing Service Provider Business.
Accountabilities:
· Become a trusted member of the Divisional Management Board working alongside operations, sales and C-suite team to drive both strategic and operational improvements underpinned by robust financials.
· Produce monthly financial analysis of divisional results and forecasts identifying and providing tailored commentary to different stakeholders.
· Responsible for producing budgets and rolling reforecasts as a member of the SP leadership team
· Understanding the different cost drivers within the business unit.
· Supporting bids with Financial modelling(providing insight on both profitability and cash flows using NPV) and commercial insight.
· Identify and influence operational decision makers to drive operational efficiencies.
· Provide robust challenge of accounting judgements being made. Strong understanding of IFRS 15 will be beneficial.
· Line management of a direct report providing suitable on the job coaching.
· Support SG&A cost centres with analysis of overtime and other costs to influence business behaviour.
· Identify, report and analyse KPIs to influence the business, making recommendations on corrective actions.
Skills and Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- A natural ability to build credibility, influence, and form strong relationships across all levels.
- Confidence to challenge and resilience to drive change when needed.
- Previous people management/supervision experience.
- Proven experience in financial business partnering within senior operational leaders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with a mindset that looks for improvements rather than barriers.
Systems: Microsoft Navision / Business Central (preferred), Jet (preferred) Excel (Intermediate – Advanced), Experience using data visualisation or BI tools would be a plus.
