Full Job Description

Are you looking to develop your career in finance and are studying towards an internationally recognised finance qualification? If you have a passion to work in the construction industry whilst working towards qualifications ICS would love to hear from you.

At ICS we can offer a wide range of work to enable you to develop your accountancy knowledge under the guidance of our experienced in-house Business Manager and Finance Director.

As you develop your knowledge and achieve exam success the role has the potential to progress into additional areas of the business.

Established in 1992, ICS Limited is a leading independent roofing contractor, that specialises in the supply and installation of commercial roofing, cladding and façade systems across the South East.

We pride ourselves on having affiliation with eleven local and national organisations that promote high levels of workmanship and safety in industry.

Our offices are located in Rodmell, Lewes.

Required for the role.

Ability to use Microsoft’s Office Suite- Outlook, Word, Excel (Excel Intermediate-Advanced i.e. be comfortable using Look ups, Pivot Tables, IF Statements)

Experience of using Microsoft Access would also be an advantage.

GCSEs at grade 9-4 (A*-C), including English and Maths

Enrolled in or eligible to enroll in AAT/ACCA study program.

Previous experience of working in the construction Industry would be an advantage.

The Role:

Reconcile supplier statements

Assist FD with supplier payments

Posting supplier Invoices

Process overhead invoices

Process specialist supplier Invoices including CIS element

Keep supplier details up to date.

Process customer application for payments

Process customer receipts

Prepare Age Debt report

HMRC Verification of supplier & subcontractors

Reconcile credit card statements for posting

Assist FD with reconciling the bank

Support the FD with the annual audit

Responding to supplier enquiries.

Assist FD with overhead variance analysis

Ad hoc duties

Other Information about the Role

The position is offered full time with a day’s release for college available and paid study.

Onsite training will be provided by ICS’ experienced Business Manager and our ACCA qualified Finance Director.

Work schedule: Onsite Mon-Friday 8am-5pm with college day release available.

Due to the location of the office, a car or alternative transport is required.
